FAQ

Questions owners ask before the network opens

Tesla's stated target is around the second quarter of 2027. The management fee is 10% of what the car earns.

Tesla has not opened the owner network. You cannot add a car yet. The step available today is a 30-minute introduction call, or the waitlist.

When can Tesla owners put their vehicles into the fleet?

Tesla's stated target, on its October 21, 2026 earnings call, is around the second quarter of 2027. That is Tesla's target, not a date we can promise. What we can do now is the proforma on your car, so the plan is ready if that door opens.

How much will my car actually earn?

That's what the proforma call is for. We build Bear, Base, and Bull scenarios specific to your vehicle — model, year, mileage, market. Not hypothetical. Not generic. Your car, your numbers. That's the first thing we do when you join.

What if Tesla never opens the network to Tesla owners?

Tesla is building a car — the CyberCab — with no steering wheel that can never be driven by a human. Why sell it to consumers who can't put it in the fleet? They also have 3–4 million Tesla owners in the U.S. who can be activated with a single software update — an overnight fleet no competitor can match. We've watched every earnings call, every shareholder meeting, every regulatory filing. Elon's been late before. We believe the question is when, not if — and our job is to make sure you're ready when the window opens.

What happens when I join the waitlist?

Derek reaches out personally within 24 hours with Bear, Base, and Bull for your car. You get into the founding member community, and first priority when onboarding starts. No obligation. No pressure.

What if I already own a Tesla or two?

You're ahead. Your Model S, 3, X, Y, or Cybertruck is the car we plan around — proforma dialed in, management ready. Most founding members start with the Teslas they already own and add CyberCabs from there.

What if I don't own a Tesla yet?

No problem. Some founding members are buying their first Tesla specifically for the fleet. Others are still researching. Whether you own three Teslas or zero, we'll build your custom scenario. The call is free. You leave with Bear, Base, and Bull for your car.

What is the CyberCab?

The first American car built purely for autonomous ride-hailing. No steering wheel. No pedals. No mirrors. 2-seater (matching 92% of taxi ride capacities). ~$30,000 — anyone with a car loan can add one to their fleet. You don't need one to start with us, but when the order bank goes live, it'll push past a year in weeks. Members who are fleet-ready with management in place will capitalize first.

Who decides where my car goes or who it picks up?

Tesla's network dispatches every ride based on demand and proximity. When your car needs a wash or a charge, it drives the fewest miles possible to get both done. When it's working, it's where the riders are. When it's waiting, we handle the staging. Tesla takes it from there. Your car is either earning, getting taken care of, or on its way to do one of the two.

What if I want my car to take me on a trip?

Your car, your rules — we mean it. Weekend getaway, family vacation, month-long road trip — just take it. While the car is with you, you handle the washing and charging, and we don't charge you for anything. When you get back, the car goes back to earning. Simple as that.

Where will my car park when it's not giving rides?

It probably won't park much at all. Your Tesla charges, gets washed, gives rides, handles your personal trips, or sits in the shop. If there's downtime, it stages in high-traffic areas around DFW — curbside where the next ride is minutes away. Not your driveway. Not a centralized hub. Where the money is.

What if my car gets damaged — or wrecked? What about hail?

Minor stuff — dings, scratches, scuffed trim — our mobile repair techs handle it across DFW. No insurance claim needed, no wasted deductible, often same-day. Bigger stuff — collision, body damage — your Tesla Insurance covers it. Your car's "black box" tells the story. We coordinate the tow, talk to adjusters, and use body shops that get your car back in days, not the weeks you'd wait at Tesla. Every day your car sits in a shop is a day it's not earning — so turnaround speed matters as much as repair quality. Hail damage? Comprehensive insurance covers it — we coordinate the PDR shop and get your car back on the road. And here's a bonus for CyberCab owners: the CyberCab's body panels are plastic composite, not stamped metal — so hail that would dent a traditional car won't dent a CyberCab. By the time you read your notification from DALE, we're already on it.

How do I know you're not overcharging for maintenance?

Every expense is itemized in your portal in real time. What was done. Who did it. What it cost. The moment it happens — not buried in a monthly PDF. Tesla Service handles the bulk of our work — certified technicians, genuine parts. For anything outside Tesla's scope, we use vetted DFW shops at club pricing. Cross-reference it all in your own Tesla app. Or just ask DALE.

What does your management fee actually cover?

The 10% is the management: every wash coordinated, every tire rotation scheduled, every repair managed, every charge planned, every dollar tracked. It does not pay for the wash, the tires, or the charge. Those are billed separately and itemized in your portal. Buying for the whole club is why those bills can run lower than a solo owner pays. The 10% is not where they hide.

How do you keep the cars charged?

Superchargers in the field — not a centralized lot with overnight Level 2 plugs. Cars charge between rides at the nearest Supercharger, where the riders are. Fewer dead miles. More time earning.

How is this different from Turo?

Turo is a side hustle — you manage listings, coordinate pickups, deal with renters, and wash the car yourself. We're the opposite: full-service fleet management for Tesla's robotaxi network. No guests. No key exchanges. The monthly payout starts once a car is in service.

Can I pull my car out anytime?

It's your car. No lock-in. No contract term forcing you to stay. If you want out, you're out. We think once you see the numbers, the portal, and how little you have to think about — you won't want to. But the door is always open.

Should I finance each car individually or get a commercial fleet loan?

Most members start with standard auto financing on their first 1–2 vehicles — personal loans, familiar terms, based on your own credit. As fleet earnings compound, additional vehicles are purchased outright from reinvested revenue — no new loans needed. For members scaling aggressively, commercial fleet financing becomes an option at 3–5+ vehicles, where the LLC holds the debt and vehicles are business assets. The best path? Start personal, let the fleet fund its own growth, and we'll walk through the options on your proforma call.
