Comparison

Turo co-hosting vs RoboTaxi Club in DFW

Turo co-hosting is how Tesla owners earn from their cars today. Robotaxi is how they'll earn next. They aren't the same business.

Tesla has not opened the owner network. You cannot add a car yet. The step available today is a 30-minute introduction call, or the waitlist.

What co-hosting really is

You're renting your car to strangers. A co-host takes a cut for handling guests, keys, cleaning and messages. But the wear, the risk and the dings still land on your car. Every trip means a stranger driving your Tesla, and the money left over after the co-host's share and the reconditioning is thin.

What robotaxi is

There are no renters and no keys, and nobody drives your car but the car itself. Tesla's network dispatches the rides. We handle the washing, tires, repairs and charging that keep it earning, and you keep using your car whenever you want it.

The difference in one line

Co-hosting manages people using your car. RoboTaxi Club manages a car that works for you.

Where things stand

Tesla hasn't opened its network to owners' cars yet. The step you can take today is a 30-minute call, where I'll run conservative, middle and optimistic projections for your car. If waiting on Tesla is the wrong plan for you, I'll tell you.
